Benjamin James Soliz,
70, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2008, at home
surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m.
Wednesday,
March 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Independence, Mo. Visitation
will be
Tuesday, March 11, McGilley Midtown Chapel, with Prayer Service
beginning at 6
p.m. and visitation until 9 p.m. Benjamin was born March 31, 1937, in
Kansas
City, Mo. In his early years he coached little league 3 & 2 baseball
and also
enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a 35-year member of the Heat and
Frost
Insulators Local #27. His hobbies were collecting Hot Wheels and being
an avid
NASCAR fan. Benjamin was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Pilar)
Telles;
father, Patricio Telles; and brother, Benino Soliz. He is survived by
his wife,
Mary; sons, Justin, Danny and Jim Soliz; daughters, Teresa Jones and
Alicia
Soliz; brothers, George and Ricardo Soliz; sisters, Albina Garcia and
Pat
Chavez. Left behind to cherish his memory are 10 grandchildren; and six
