from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, at the carson-Speaks
Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. A rosary will precede the
visitation at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10
a.m. on Tuesday at St. Cyril's Parish, 11231 E. Chicago, Independence,
MO. Donald Ray Smitka was born on September 24, 1938, in Sugar Creek, MO
to George and Susan Smitka. He is survived by Annie Spurlock, of the
home; two sons, Donald Smitka, Jr. and Frank E. Smitka: one daughter,
Nancy A. Smitka; two brothers, Aron and William Smitka; one sister,
Margaret Smitka; and many nieces and nephews.
