The Medical Screening program provides a free medical
screening for construction workers who worked on certain Department of Energy
sites. This program is supported by the Building and Construction Trades
Department, AFL-CIO.
You may be eligible to participate in this program if:
You performed construction work
(for either the prime or subcontractors) at any time in
the past at any of the following DOE sites. Even if you
don’t now live near the DOE site, you can still
participate.
Amchitka Test Site
Fernald Plant
Hanford Reservation
Idaho National
Engineering & Environment Laboratory (INEEL)
Kansas City Plant (Bendix,
Allied Signal, Honeywell)
Mound Plant
Oak Ridge Reservation
Paducah GDP
Pinellas Plant
Portsmouth GDP
Savannah River Site
And you think you may have
been exposed to any health hazard including radiation,
beryllium, asbestos, silica, mercury, cadmium, nickel,
lead or other heavy metals, solvents or degreasers, or
any other fumes, vapors or dusts, or noise.
OR You or your doctor think
you have had serious health problems as a result of your
DOE work, including anyone who has or has had cancer,
serious lung disease or any other serious illness that
you think could be caused by toxic exposures.
