WHY? Approximately 3,000 Missouri Building Tradesmen, women and families will travel to Jefferson City capitol to have their voices heard on labor related issues & legislation such as jobs, economy and health care.

2008 Missouri Building Trades
Rally Itinerary

• Board motor coaches of designated union(s) at The Chiefs Stadium Parking Lot L at 7:00 a.m. Busses will leave at approximately 7:30-7:45. Team Captains will advise members of activities after checking attendance roster.

• Maps of the Capitol, hand out material on issues for public officials and discussion about these will be given on bus ride.

• Arrive at Jefferson City approximately 10:30-11:00 where Subway lunch will be delivered.

• Check the weather and bring appropriate clothing. Many unions wore or purchased T-Shirts and Union logo shirts and jackets, hats, etc.

• Visits to Legislators 11-12:45 as a group or on your own (each local will decide). Handouts and speaking points will be provided. Members may refer to “How to Talk to Your Legislator”.

• Be at Capitol steps for union photos at 12:45

• Speakers & Rally at approx 1:00 p.m. on lawn below steps.

• Load buses for Kansas City 2-2:30 p.m. at designated location. Team Captains responsible for checking that all members return.

• Arrive in Kansas City at stadium approx 4:30-5:00.
